Wellness Corner 62: A Quick Hello before the Holidays!

Hey Falcons,

A mid-week wellness corner? Indeed.

I haven’t had enough time to type up one of these in a bit with the rush of college applications, but I wanted to pen something before disappearing once again for finals season. And in the spirit of the holiday season, a spirit of thanksgiving and joy, thought I’d begin with: I’m thankful for you.

It’s a short sentence, something I’d normally assume was understood and didn’t even have to be said. But this year, I’ve seen the importance of expressing gratitude. It might be senior year sentimentality or my reaction to the events taking our world by storm, but I feel like the only words I want to say are thank you. Thank you, Falcons, for endowing WellBase, my (and our!) small act of service, with purpose. Over the past two calendar years, it’s been so special to see our website and our movement blossom, morph, change, and improve. As founder of WellBase, I’ve had ups and downs, made new friends, reached new heights, and this year, I’ve passed the torch to our incredible, dynamic Student Wellbeing Advisory Board (meet ‘em on the Our Team page). So thank you. For being you, for engaging in our content, and for making a difference in the world each day. Even if you think you don’t, you certainly do.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the final Wellness Corner of 2023, and have a holiday season filled with warmth, light, and appropriate levels of cheer.
