Wellness Corner 8: WellBase

Dear Kinkaid Community,

This past week was special for me. I unveiled WellBase (https://wellbase.kinkaid.org/) at the assembly on Tuesday, showcasing its student-created multimedia assets and learning tools. Once again, a huge thank you to all those who worked and continue to work with me on this project. WellBase was also linked on the Kinkaid Health and Wellness page (https://www.kinkaid.org/student-life/wellness).

In the coming weeks, I will be using the Kinkaid Health and Wellness social media to promote the site and share some fun updates, so follow us @kinkaidhealthandwellness on Instagram and @KinkaidWellness on Twitter. Also follow the Wellness Committee at @wellness.committee on Instagram!

Chief among the updates to the site is the addition of an Inclusion and Belonging page to WellBase. The page will contain write-ups and audiovisuals from students about why belonging is so important to them. The page will include information about ways we can spread the spirit of diversity, equity, and inclusion. I plan to work with heritage clubs and affinity groups to create videos appreciating different cultures and on how to be an ally.

If you would like to be a part of this effort, or if you have any other feedback/inputs/ideas, please reach out to me at eshaan.mani@kinkaid.org. I would love to work with you to make WellBase the best it can be.

I encourage you all to check out WellBase, and I hope you find it rewarding.

Stay well,

Eshaan Mani

Outreach Officer @ The Wellness Committee
